Beyond 5 Star Getaways near Delhi

It's not always necessary to book a 5 Star property to enjoy luxury when you are on a holiday.  A weekend getaway requires much more than luxury as you have just couple of days to break the monotony from your daily 9-5 routine life. These are few such places to stay which will give you that extra kick apart from luxurious rooms and long menu dinning.

1. Shoghi, Himachal Pradesh

Spacious balcony attached to most of the rooms is one of the many attractions. They do not have liquor licence so carry your own if you are not a teetotaler like me. Avg. room price if booked well in advance is 6000-7000 INR per night. Situated 15 KMs from Shimla makes the destination viable for the people who want to visit shimla for a dayout and relax at night at a place which is much cooler, calm and peace full than shimla.

2. Gagar, Uttarakhand

Much like Wooksmoke this is another Boutique Hotel away from crowded hill stations. Just 21 Kms from Nainital this is the place to stay when you would like visit the Lake city of Nainital. Serene, calm and place to chillax are the apt words for this awesome property. A beautiful house turned hotel is the place you will never like to be at a hotel. This is divided into two parts. Both are duplex. The main house has couple of rooms and also the dinning room.  The other part has three rooms and is much peaceful that the main house. Balcony for all the rooms are spacious enough for the evening sitout. Staff is ultra friendly. Food is something which makes this property best of this list. Average price if booked well in advace is 7000 per night.

3. Mcleodganj, Himachal Pradesh

One of the finest hotels of Mcleodganj Fortune Park Moksha is a part ITC group of hotels. View from the hotel is not great as from hotels situated in Bhagsunag area but the it will provide every other thing that you expect of. Great food, clean rooms with all necessary amenities, excellent staff showcasing ITC culture and Spacious balconies. Dinning room is good and with a wide variety of options available in Breakfast. Situated around 4 Kms from Monestary and main market of mcleodganj this is easily accessible from all the places of mcleodganj and Dharamshala. This will cost you around 7500 in season while in off season this could get down to 4500 per night.

Truely a great resort worth staying in and around Mussorie. You will find very few properties with this much of space in Hill stations. You can easily spend an evening walking around in the resort and enjoy the spelndid view of Mussorie city from the resort top floor garden. This is true luxury with spacious rooms and wonderful dinning options available. Food is great and good staff. Check in super super fast with pre allocated room and least of paper work. Often you will find folk dancers performing on the top floor garden restaurent. This will cost you around 9500 per night if booked well in time.
